Concerns Regarding Internet; The Greatest Concern Turns out to be 'Fraud'

A recent Gilani poll conducted by Gallup Pakistan shows that the main internet-related concern amongst Pakistanis appears to be fraud as cited by 23% of the respondents. This is followed by other concerns such as violent and explicit content (17%), threats to privacy (15%), state censorship of content (7%), and extent of corporate presence (3%). The remaining 35% were either unaware about internet or gave no response.

The recent Gilani poll was conducted in Pakistan by Gallup Pakistan, affiliated with Gallup International Association, among a sample of 2772 men and women from rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 2010.
