Perceptions on Major Diseases and Government's Role in Their Cure and Control
 
 
A recent Gilani poll conducted by Gallup Pakistan shows that, more than one fourth of all Pakistanis (35%) think that the government needs to concentrate on controlling and finding cures for heart problems prevailing in the country and 25% claim Malaria needs to be given more attention. The remaining respondents cited various other diseases which they think require government's attention, 16% said Cancer, 12% said AIDS, 11% said Tuberculosis, and 1% gave no response.

The recent Gilani poll was conducted in Pakistan by Gallup Pakistan, affiliated with Gallup International Association, among a sample of 2768 men and women from rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during December 2009.
