Poll on 'What Makes You Buy a New Product?'; Ingredients, Endorsement (Part 4 of the 4 part series)

A recent Gilani poll conducted by Gallup Pakistan shows that, a little more than half of all Pakistanis (57%) check the ingredients of a packaged food product before buying it for the first time, 42% do not care and 1% gave no response. The results also show that endorsement by friends and family matters. According to survey's findings, 50% buy new products only when a friend or a family member suggests it, 49% do not specifically get influenced by other peoples suggestion when buying a new product and 1% gave no response.

The recent Gilani poll was conducted in Pakistan by Gallup Pakistan, affiliated with Gallup International Association, among a sample of 2770 men and women from rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during November 2009.
