31% Use Emergency Lights During Load Shedding

A recent Gilani poll conducted by Gallup Pakistan shows that majority (42%) of all Pakistanis require electricity to a great or some extent to do their work. Just as many (42%) are either forced to terminate their work during the day or discontinue working during load shedding. Only 11% have the luxury of using generators or UPS.

The recent Gilani poll was conducted in Pakistan by Gallup Pakistan, affiliated with Gallup International Association, among a sample of 2652 men and women from rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 2009
