‘Sherbets’ the most popular amongst various drinks to be served to guests in urban Pakistan during the Summers
 
 
In a recent survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, urban citizens were asked about the different kinds of drinks they usually serve their guests with during the summer months. It was revealed that majority, 54 % of the people serve their guests with different types of ‘sherbets’, 30 % of the respondents said they usually serve ‘soft drinks’ while 14 % of the people replied that they serve their guest with ‘tea’.

Another 1 % of the respondents provided the names of other various drinks which they serve to their guests to their guests during the summers; people mentioned the names of a range of refreshing drinks like ‘lemonade’, ‘milk soda’, ‘lassi’, ‘fresh fruit juices’ and other various homemade sherbets. Further 1% of the individuals said that they did not know or gave no response.

This survey by Gallup Pakistan, an affiliate of Gallup International, was conducted on a sample of over 1200 nationwide urban respondents across all four provinces of Pakistan. This sample was statistically selected across all ages, income groups and educational levels. The error margin for a sample of this kind is estimated to be + 5% at a 95% confidence level.
